Our Stretcher Bar 44 is a high-quality standard stretcher bar designed for artists, canvas makers, and professional framers. Manufactured from premium FSC-certified Nordic pinewood, it provides excellent strength, stability, and durability for stretched canvases of all sizes.

The profile measures 18 × 44 mm and is available in lengths ranging from 20 cm to 150 cm, making it suitable for everything from small artworks to large-format canvases. Bars 80 cm and above are produced with a pre-cut slot for the addition of crossbars, helping to maintain rigidity and prevent warping on larger frames.

Featuring a flat back profile, the canvas is raised slightly away from the stretcher edge, reducing the risk of stretcher marks appearing on the finished artwork. The precision-engineered tongue-and-groove corner joints allow for quick assembly while ensuring a secure and accurately squared frame.

Each stretcher frame can be adjusted over time using wedge keys, which are inserted into the corner joints to fine-tune tension and keep the canvas taut as environmental conditions change.
