Adhesive (size) for gilding with metal leaf. Use on objects or surfaces before application of metal leaf. This is applied evenly with a soft brush. Apply the size and leave for 10-20 mins until its tacky.
When the metal leaf is applied with a curved spoon etc it needs to be pressed or placed on the size.
After 12 hours drying time a coat of shellac varnish is recommended.
