Jacquard Pearl-Ex pigments may be incorporated into any viscous (slightly thick) medium such as paint, varnish, glue or paste to produce a pearlescent or metallic lustre. They may also be applied dry and then sealed or dusted on top of a tacky surface.
Particle size is 6 to 50 microns. It is easily silkscreened, brushed on or sprayed. This pigment is a satiny silver with bright highlights and good coverage and can be blended with other Pearl-Ex pigments to make intermediate shades. Recommended loading is up to 14% by weight. Addition of a very small amount of any transparent black pigment or artist colour will deepen the silver tone. Silver metallic colours are also made by adding small amounts of any transparent pigment or artist colour to any of the Pearl-Ex Pearl whites.
Extreme colourfastness and stability make Pearl-Ex ideal for exterior, interior and archival applications. AVOID BREATHING DUST. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

CAS TIP;-
Combine with Gum Arabic to create your own ‘liquid metal’ to paint on most surfaces or, as the powder has a high heat resistance, it can be brushed onto the tacky surface of (Fimo) polymer clay and then baked.
