The 450 features a squaring bar, quick-release guide knobs, and a scaled production stop. The extruded aluminum guide rail allows the cutting head to "hook on" and glide smoothly, mounted on a 40" (102 cm) baseboard.

This model comes with two different cutters: the 702 Pivot and Pull Bevel Cutter, which has an anti-crawl device to prevent forward creep of the cutting head during blade insertions, and the 701 Straight Cutter, which has three depths including safety, standard thickness matboard, and foamboard. Uses style #270 blades.
